Initially made in cast aluminium, by the 1960’s these were replaced with injection moulded plastic. They can be painted in White, Off White or Silver and will suit most standard size aluminium plates.

US, Italian and most imported cars often require special sized plates to fit within the bodywork or pre-existing frames. Typically the imported vehicles use the smaller motorcycle 2½" digits. We can manufatcure these in the Die Pressed Aluminium or the rare import size plastic characters (subject to stock levels).
Reverse Engraved Acrylic Plates were developed in the early 1970’s and feature the registration being engraved into the black backing of the plate. This allows the material on the reverse (polished or brushed aluminium) to be seen through the clear acrylic. These plates use the 3.1/8" size character for most vehicles, however we can manufacture the plates to almost any size including Motorcycles and Imports.
